Tip Stream — Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Tip Stream ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. License (Apple Standard EULA)

Your use of Tip Stream is licensed, not sold, to you. Unless you have a separate written agreement with us, your license is governed by Apple's Standard End User License Agreement (EULA), available here:

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country to use apps without parental consent) to use Tip Stream. By using the App, you represent that you meet this requirement.

4. The Service

Tip Stream is an offline tip- and shift-tracking app for service-industry workers. All of your data is stored locally on your device. You are responsible for safeguarding your own data, including making backups (the App provides CSV export for this purpose). We are not responsible for any loss of data resulting from device loss, damage, or deletion of the App.

5. Subscriptions & Purchases

Tip Stream offers an optional Tip Stream Pro upgrade, which unlocks additional features. Pro is available through the following options, purchased via the Apple App Store using StoreKit:

  • Monthly Subscription — auto-renewable, billed monthly.
  • Annual Subscription — auto-renewable, billed yearly.
  • Lifetime — a one-time, non-consumable purchase that unlocks Pro permanently with no recurring charge.

The exact price for each option is displayed in the App and on the App Store at the time of purchase.

5.1 Auto-Renewable Subscriptions — Billing & Renewal

For the Monthly and Annual options, the following terms apply, in line with Apple's requirements:

  • Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, at the price of the subscription you selected.
  • You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time by going to your Apple ID Account Settings (Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions) after purchase. You can also reach this screen from within the App via Settings → Manage Subscription.
  • Canceling stops future renewals; it does not provide a refund for the current period, and you retain Pro access until the end of the period you already paid for.

5.2 Free Trial (if offered)

If a free trial is offered, any unused portion of a free trial period is forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where applicable.

5.3 Lifetime Purchase

The Lifetime option is a one-time purchase. It does not renew and is not charged on a recurring basis. It can be restored on your devices using the same Apple ID via the Restore Purchases option.

5.4 Refunds

All purchases are processed by Apple. Refund requests are handled by Apple in accordance with their policies; we are unable to issue refunds directly. Refund requests can be submitted at https://reportaproblem.apple.com.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Tip Stream only for lawful purposes and not to misuse, reverse-engineer, or attempt to disrupt the App except as permitted by the Apple Standard EULA or applicable law.

7. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your license to use the App if you violate these Terms. You may terminate these Terms at any time by deleting the App from your device. Sections 8 (Disclaimer of Warranties), 9 (Limitation of Liability), and 11 (Governing Law) survive termination.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

Tip Stream is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be error-free or uninterrupted. The App is a tracking tool and does not provide financial, tax, or accounting advice; you are responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter and any decisions made based on it.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of data, arising from your use of the App.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify you, such as a notice within the App or an updated "Effective Date" above. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of California, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
