Tip Stream — Privacy Policy

Our Promise: Your Data Never Leaves Your Device

Tip Stream is built 100% offline-first. We designed it from the ground up so that your earnings stay private — because they live only on your iPhone, never on our servers (we don't have any).

We do not collect, store, transmit, or share any of your personal data, shift records, or financial information. There is no account to create, no login, and no cloud sync operated by us.

What Data the App Stores (and Where)

Everything you enter into Tip Stream — including your jobs, shifts, cash and credit tips, tip-outs, hours, sections, notes, goals, and profile name — is saved locally on your device using Apple's on-device SwiftData framework.

This data stays in the app's private storage on your device.
It is included in your device's standard iCloud/iTunes encrypted backups only if you have those backups enabled — this is controlled entirely by you and Apple, not by us.
We never receive, see, or have access to this information.

Information We Do NOT Collect

To be explicit, Tip Stream does not collect any of the following:

Personal identifiers (name, email, phone number, address)
Financial or tip data
Location data
Contacts, photos, or device identifiers for tracking
Usage analytics or behavioral tracking
Advertising identifiers (the app contains no ads and no third-party trackers)

Apple-Provided Diagnostics (Optional, Controlled by You)

If you have opted in to "Share With App Developers" in your iOS Settings (Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements), Apple may provide us with anonymized, aggregated crash logs and usage statistics through App Store Connect. This data is collected and anonymized by Apple, not by us, contains no personal information or any of your tip data, and is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. If you have not opted in, we receive nothing at all.

Third-Party Services

Tip Stream does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or data-collection SDKs.

Purchases: Subscriptions and the Lifetime purchase are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store using Apple's StoreKit. We never see or store your payment details. Apple's handling of your purchase information is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

Data Sharing & Selling

We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your data with anyone, for any purpose. There is nothing for us to share, because your data never reaches us.

Data Export & Deletion

You are always in full control of your data:

Export: You can export your full history to a CSV file at any time from Settings → Data Import / Export.
Deletion: You can permanently erase all jobs, shifts, and goals at any time from Settings → Erase All Data, or by deleting the app from your device. Because all data is stored locally, deleting the app permanently removes your data from your device.
Note on backups: If you use iCloud or computer backups, copies of your data may remain in previously created backups even after you erase it from the app. Those backups are controlled by you through your Apple ID and device settings; you can manage or delete them at any time via Apple's backup management tools.

If You Contact Us

If you email us with a question, we will receive your email address and the contents of your message. We use this information only to respond to you. We do not add you to any mailing list, share this information with anyone, or use it for any other purpose.

Children's Privacy

Tip Stream is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children.

Changes to This Policy

If we ever update this Privacy Policy, we will revise the "Effective Date" above and post the updated version. Because the app remains offline-first, any future changes will continue to prioritize your privacy.
